Inside the NBA Bubble: A Championship Season under Quarantine is an inside look at the 2020-2021 NBA Champion Lakers from someone who was inside. Jared Dudley wrote this book with Carvell Wallace and it can be read in a single-sitting.
Omens in China. The tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna. A novel coronavirus and the protests honoring George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. For Jared Dudley and the Los Angeles Lakers, the suspended 2019–2020 NBA season was, from the beginning, about more than winning basketball games. But what now?
This is the year of the Bubble, a vacated Disney World, and the nearly one hundred days that 350 players and personnel from twenty-two NBA teams isolated from their friends and family, testing their patience for a dorm-style solution to America’s lost pandemic sports season—but also inspiring them.
In a country violently divided by more than COVID-19, the Lakers rise to the occasion. From initial quarantine to the best basketball ever played by LeBron James and Anthony Davis to transitioning again to the real world, Jared Dudley shares his winning memories of a personal and professional victory from inside the NBA Bubble.

About the NBA Bubble
The NBA Bubble was an isolation zone at Walt Disney World that was created by the National Basketball Association to protect its players from the COVID-19 pandemic during the final eight games of the 2019–20 regular season and throughout the 2020 NBA playoffs.
The Lakers clinched the top-seed in the Western Conference and then defeated the Blazers, Rockets, Nuggets and Heat en route to their 17th NBA Championship and first with LeBron James.

Three-Ring Circus: Kobe, Shaq, Phil, and the Crazy Years of the Lakers Dynasty by Jeff Pearlman: The story of the Lakers dynasty from 1996 through 2004, when Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal combined—and collided—to help bring the Lakers three straight championships and restore the franchise as a powerhouse.
The Victory Machine: The Making and Unmaking of the Warriors Dynasty by Ethan Sherwood Strauss: This book takes a look at how money, guts, and greed built the Warriors dynasty — and then took it apart. The Victory Machine is a defining book on the modern NBA: it not only rewrites the story of the Warriors, but shows how the Darwinian business of pro basketball really works.
